Merlark In development · Private beta

YouTube reviews your whole channel. Merlark keeps watch.

Merlark is a monitoring and evidence tool for YouTube creators. It watches the content patterns across your channel and shows what changed, which videos produced each observation, and where to look, with the videos and timestamps behind every line.

What Merlark does

Merlark observes and reports. It does not predict, score or judge a channel, and it never says anything about a channel's monetization status.

Channel monitoring

Connect a channel with Google sign-in and read-only access. Merlark keeps track of how formats, structure and upload patterns shift across the catalogue over time.

Evidence for every observation

Each observation cites the specific videos and timestamps that produced it. If the evidence cannot be shown, the observation is not shown either.

Creator reports

A recurring brief compares recent videos with the channel's own history, keeps what was measured separate from what it might mean, and says so plainly when evidence is insufficient.

Illustrative example, not real channel data

Five of your last eight uploads share the same opening structure.

Evidence: the specific videos and the timestamp in each where the pattern appears.

Where it stands today

Merlark is built by a solo founder and is being tested privately. This is an honest split of what exists and what does not.

Built, in private testing
  • Google sign-in with a read-only YouTube connection
  • Reading channel and video data through the official YouTube APIs
  • Automatic deletion of stored YouTube statistics within 30 days
  • Disconnecting a channel deletes its stored data
In development
  • Evidence-backed findings with video and timestamp citations
  • A visible line between reconstructed history and what Merlark has observed since connection
  • The recurring creator brief
  • Self-service account deletion
Planned
  • Script suggestions grounded only in a creator's own stored findings
  • Using the Claude API to write reports from stored evidence
  • Paid Early Access plan with one-click cancellation

How it is built

  • Official APIs onlyNo scraping and no unofficial data sources.
  • Least privilegeRead-only access, and additional permissions only when a feature that needs them is turned on.
  • Observation, not predictionNo risk scores, no probabilities, no verdicts.
  • Built with ClaudeMerlark is developed with Claude Code. Using the Claude API inside the product is planned and not yet built.
